OVERVIEW
SUMMARY
S*CAPE Xtras is a collaborative service elevation project aimed to empower youth through a student-centred membership service.
S*CAPE Co., Ltd. is a non-profit organization that supports youth, talent and leadership development. It was set up in 2007 in response to a call for more spaces for youth social,
recreational, sporting, and community activities, and to showcase their talents.

Background: Lives in 1 room rental flat with 3 people including her baby sister
Goals: Get good grades to break out of her unconducive family financial situation

Narrative: Family facing financial issues, supportive of Sienna hobbies but don't have the means to carry her forward in life
Needs: Space to experience and showcase her talent of singing

OPPORTUNITY
Our goal for the solution was to have a holistic approach to youth empowerment. We identified three main opporunities namely Education , Community and psychological struggles.
Combing the opportunities with the vision of S*cape to to be the home of enterprising youth who are committed to creating their own future, we came up with a solution with three parts.
DAILY LIFE OF EUGENE LOOKS LIKE
1. THE NOOK- a container cafe for studying ,empowering youth through education.
2. BUS-KING- a moving busking stage- empowering youth through building a community.
3. TEA-TIME- an advice podcast to help youth navigate their mental health struggles and issues.
4. E-S*CAPE- an app that ties together all the services given out by S*CAPE, including their existing workshops and programs.
The Nook is a container cafe, it provides a free quiet and conducive space for students to study, printer services, wifi and affordable snacks. The Nook will be located around Singapore in quiet open spaces such as parks, beaches and HDB carpark rooftops.

EUGENE

Age: 18
Occupation: Works at scape as a podcaster (studies Mass Comm at Temasek poly)
Background: Working parents, lives with his family, and owns three dogs.
Goals: Gain podcast network and experience, portfolio for mass communication course (journalism)
Hobbies: Report/story writing
Narrative: his Family are high achievers and his goals don't align with his parent's future choices
Frustrations: He wants to pursue his dream of journalism. No supportive environment
Daily routine: Does make-up in the morning, attends class at TP, goes for the podcast at SCAPE main building one hour a day
Needs: Space to experience and showcase his talent of journalism
BUSKING
Bus-King provides a platform for youth to showcase their musical talents to build self-confidence and raise funds to support SCAPE. Bus-King will transport the performing band to popular locations around Singapore, and the performance will be live broadcasted in the E-S*CAPE app.
A special feature of this is the live graffiti wall on the bus that users can draw live from the E*S*CAPE app.

TEA-TIME,
Tea-Time is an interactive podcast that allows youth to bear their burdens onto us
as we provide emotional support and offer our advice. On the application,
viewers can send in their burning questions to be answered by our
podcasters.
